OCTOBER’S BEST FASHION & BEAUTY DROPS: SPOOKY EDITION
As an editor, I’ve made a habit of telling the internet what I'm spending my money on. There are some purchases, though, that I want to sing from the rooftops about—either due to their exclusivity, savings, or sheer dreaminess. Plus, any Halloween lover or Scorpio would agree that October is the best time of the year for shopping.
All to say, here are the spookiest, must-see limited edition drops, collabs, and collections according to a Scorpio-rising editor. Think of it as a 'Gift Guide for the Scorpios in Your Life, if you will. Some are spooky, some edgy, but all autumnal. Elevated dark femme vibes from Cult Gaia, R13, Betsey Johnson, and plenty more have us in the fright night spirit. Ahead, an adorable list of all the emo gear I've actually added to cart this month. Hurry though, most of these limited-edition picks will be gone in a flash!

Dreamy and coveted label Cult Gaia presents its chic interpretation of the dark femme trend with these witchy fingerless gloves. It’s triangular cut stretched down the hand effectively elongates arms for a flattering (“slimming”) effect. Regardless, the center finger detail is innocently sultry—perfect for summonings or date nights alike.

So, choose your goddess and embody her power.

Misbhv Basquiat Edition "A Panel Of Experts" Wool Coat, $1,550
Late last month, streetwear brand Misbhv dropped a rare collaboration in partnership with the Estate of Jean-Michel Basquiat. The capsule was an honorary homage to the late artist featuring some of his best-known prints, paints, and drawings. Every piece in the collection makes a defiant statement but a wool statement coat such as this will never lose its edge.

The edgy-meets-elevated line features freshwater pearls strung on barbed wire chains, dangling daggers, and, most notably, hyper luxe smoking gear. Its second drop Chapter II beholds a smoking ring in the form of an ethereal pavé rose. I'm already planning on getting the matching ring for the dreamiest set.

OCTOBER 2022 FASHION DROP #17
Brujita Redrum Collection, $64
I recently had a friend rave about the brand’s Hechizo Facial Serum (and by “friend”, I mean this episode of ‘Bush Babies’' podcast). Convinced to buy, I decided to pause for the conscious skincare brand’s ‘Redrum’ Collection drop. Launching October 21, the universal bundle comes with two of it’s best-selling icons; a creamy exfoliating scrub and magical fruit serum. So good, it’s definitely brujería.
OCTOBER 2022 FASHION DROP #18
Cristal Cosmetics Halloween Bundle, $80
If you have a halloween costume in mind this year that requires some special effects, you may have already cringed at the though of face paint—it’s messy and comedogenic. Plus, it tends to loose it’s luster at some point during the evening. Refrain from wasting your time with quality products in an all-in-one bundle from editor-approved Cristal Cosmetics.
OCTOBER 2022 FASHION DROP #19
Matisse Scorpio Ballet Flats, $120
I mean, the name speaks for itself. Plus, it's nearly impossible to find a covetable pair of ballet flats amidst the ballet-core trend and these are giving major coquette vibes. Très chic.
